Our Aims & Aspirations

What we aspire to concerning…

Worshiping God

We believe worship is primarily an attitude of obedience to God’s commands, hence we are committed to knowing God’s will for us through his Word, and faithfully fulfilling His will for us each day.

Jn 14:15, Rm 12:1, 1 P 2:5

Evangelism

We believe God has called us to be salt and light in the world.  We trust that through our lives and words God will use us to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ

Mt 5:13, 1 P 3:15

Prayer

We believe prayer is a dialog between God and man. As a local church we are devoted to a dependent relationship with God through prayer, so we might know and do God’s will.

Acts 6:4, 1 Thess 5:27

Discipling

We believe discipling to be helping people on their spiritual journey to maturity. We are committed to developing relationships with one another that facilitate growth, encouragement, and love.

Mt 28:20, 1 Thess 2:4-12

Caring

We believe God has called us to care for one another spiritually and physically so that “all men will know you are my disciples.”

Jn 13:35, Gal 6:1-2, Gal 6:9-10, Jms 2:15-17, 1 Jn 3:17-18

preaching & teaching the word of god

We believe God has given the spiritual gift of pastors and teachers to encourage and exhort us in living (preaching) and to explain the meaning of scripture and transfer that knowledge to others (teaching). We believe the purpose of preaching and teaching is that we all might become mature and attain to the whole measure of fullness in Christ.

Eph 4:11-12, 2 Tim 4:1-2

Missions

We believe missions are a worldwide view of evangelism. God has called us to support missionary activity throughout the world.

Mt 28:19-20, Acts 1:8

Meditation

Meditation is being occupied with God’s Word. We want God’s word to permeate every aspect of our being.

Josh 1:8, Ps 19:14

Equipping

We believe a local church should help people discover, nurture, train, share, and use their spiritual gift “to equip his people for works of service.”

Eph 4:12

Giving

We believe a priority of the local church is to support the advancement of God’s work in the world through the giving of time, talents, abilities, skills, gifts, and finances.
